“Totoumi sanchu” (In the Mountains of Totoumi Province) from Katsushika Hokusai's "Fugaku Sanjurokkei" (Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji).
Totoumi is present-day Shizuoka Prefecture. Mt. Fuji can be seen between the triangles created by the pillars supporting the giant timbers. The bold composition, unique to Katsushika Hokusai, is fascinating.
